As of January 03, 2025. Project was tabled until the 2025 budget meeting. Eureka Township ("Town") is seeking sealed bids from contractors to provide the Town gravel (Crushed Aggregate) in 2025. The Town Board will consider awarding the contract at the same meeting, but may delay taking action until a later meeting. TYPE: No. 1 Lime Rock Class 5 Modified 10-15% binder QUANTITY: Approximately 16,300 ton of CL 5 MEASUREMENT: Each load must be weighed by an approved weighing device and receipt delivered to job superintendent. The Town will supply blade work. The delivery rate is to be 100 to 200 tons per hour. BID REQUIREMENTS: Supply, delivery, and spread material that has been approved by the Town. The Town will supply the blade work. Graveling to begin on or about May 25, 2025, or when road restrictions have been lifted. Work is to be directed by the Town and coordinated with gravel supplier. Copies of load tickets must be provided at delivery. A copy of the contractor's certificate of insurance should be included with the bid, or will be required as a condition of award. Bid must be submitted in two categories: 1. Material prices at the pit, per ton 2. Trucking to Eureka Township, per ton (delivered to different project locations). Prices must be listed separate Lime Rock to be applied - Total of approximately 16,300 tons. The Town may randomly take and test material samples. Tests will include, but are not limited to, sieve analysis of fine and coarse aggregates, analysis of clay and silts in fines, and magnesium sulfate soundness test (MNDOT 1219). At time of billing, the Town reserves the right to retain up to 10% of the contractor's claim pending test results. Materials supplied by the contractor not meeting Town specifications may result in Town not refunding retainage. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interests of the Town
