Madison County, Alabama is seeking bids to replace approximately 5,000 linear feet of 6-inch water main along Banyon Rd in Toney, AL. The Contractor shall install the new pipe and appurtenances, install new service lines, pressure test and disinfect all new piping, transfer service to the new main, abandon in-place the existing mains, perform all driveway and road repairs, perform final landscaping and restore the entire site to preconstruction condition. The deadline for Contractor questions is November 13th, 2024, at 4:00 PM; The Contractor is responsible for checking the Madison County website for posted addenda. A Bid Bond is required to be submitted with the bid. Performance Bond, Payment Bond and evidence of insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. The period of performance is 120 calendar days (not including delays for material delivery). The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, a certificate of insurance coverage as provided in the specifications, and a complete list of subcontractors will be required prior to the signing of the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All bids received after the date and time of the bid opening noted above will be returned unopened.
