Princess Street Over Pass Guard Rail and Handrail Rehabilitation, as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the "Deliverables"). The City requires rehabilitation of approximately 1000 metres of wooden post with wood offset block and guard rail (hereinto referred to as 'guard rail') and 185 metres of steel handrail located within a 450-metre stretch of roadway at the Princess Street Overpass. The work area is located approximately 90 metres east of the intersection of Taylor-Kidd Boulevard and Princes Street within the City of Kingston, Ontario and is presented within Appendix H - Drawings and Site Photographs. The work entails rehabilitation and replacement of deteriorated sections of the guard rail / post system within the work area, and rehabilitation of the handrail along the overpass. The term of the agreement is to be for a period from project commencement to Contract Completion, plus a 2-year warranty period to begin at Contract Completion. The City anticipates the project will reach Contract Completion by December 31, 2024.
