Statements made by TPL or Jefferson County School District 509J representatives at the conference are not binding unless confirmed by a written addendum This project is bidding early to allow for long lead items to be ordered, with construction anticipated to begin in spring/summer 2025 Located at Madras Elementary School in Madras, Oregon, the Madras Community Schoolyard Project is Situated on Several Parcels Owned by the Jefferson County School District. The Project Limits Are Bounded by the Se D Street Right-of-way and School Building to the North, Open Fields and Ball Fields to the East, the Parking Lot and Ball Fields to the South, the School Building and Se 10th Street to the West. Within the Limit of Work, Demolition to Include Asphalt Surfacing and Several Small Play Structures. Several Play Structures Will Be Relocated Within the School Property. All Existing Trees Shall Remain and Be Protected in Place With Protective Fencing New Site Features for the Madras Community Schoolyard Include Walking Paths, Play Areas, Gathering Areas, and Fields. Paths and Parking Are to Be Graded to Meet Ada Requirements for Accessible Surfaces. New Site Elements Include Play Structures With Play Safety Surfacing, Site Furnishings, Seat Steps, and a Wood Shade Structure. A New Chain Link Fence With Gates Will Connect to the Existing Fence. The Project Includes New Trees With Planting Soil, Mulch, Groundcovers, Shrubs, and Sod, and Hydro-seeding for the Disturbed Lawn Areas as Necessary.
