Remodeling of an educational facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
Classrooms Renovations Hibbard Humanities Hall - Uw Eau Claire In general, the work consists of: Project includes demolishing partition walls; door assemblies; suspended 3 acoustical ceiling systems; ventilation, electrical, and telecommunications distribution; instructional 4 5 6 7 technology and associated equipment; lighting fixtures and controls; carpeting and base molding. Ventilation, electrical, and telecommunications distribution will be replaced, relocated, and augmented as needed to support the revised room layouts. Portions of the corridor wall will removed and glass walls will be installed to allow borrowed light into the corridor. New instructional technology will be installed including an instruction station with integrated controls, electronically controlled data projector, and 8 9 projection screens, instructional boards, and improved lighting controls. All classroom furnishings will be 10 replaced with movable tables and chairs. New carpeting, base molding, suspended acoustical ceiling tile 11 systems will be installed along with new LED light fixtures. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. This project is being let using the single prime bidding and contracting process. DFD will publicly bid the 27 applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) divisions of work first. Within 5 28 days of the MEP bid opening, DFD will identify a lowest, qualified, responsible, certified bidder in each 29 applicable MEP division of work. These successful MEP bids must be included in all general prime 30 contractor bids received. No later than 5 days after DFD identifies the successful MEP bids, DFD will 31 32 33 publicly open general prime contractor bids. General prime contractor bids that do not include the successful MEP bids will be rejected. The state will enter into a single contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible, certified general prime contractor and this general prime contractor will enter into subcontracts 34 with the successful MEP bidders. If a project does not include any mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire 35 protection divisions of work, DFD will bid one bid package for all work to general prime contractors.
