Bids must be returned to the Purchasing Office at purchasingbids@ gram.edu by the due date and time referenced. Bids must be submitted on the forms enclosed with the bid specification, and in strict conformity with the intent of same without modifications. Bids must be signed in ink, dated, and title of person signing the bid should be shown on the bid. Evidence of General Liability Insurance, Auto Liability Insurance, and Workers Compensation Insurance required for this contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least thirty (30) days. The University reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informalities. Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with R.S. 38:2212(B)(5) and/or R.S. 39:1594(C)(4). An Equal Opportunity Employer. All inquires rec'd by the close of business 1/30/2025 The objective of this project is to install necessary components to restore functionality of Water Well #7 at Grambling State University. Currently, the water well is out of operation. This scope focuses on the installation of parts only. Scope of Work: The work will include the following tasks: o Installation of Franklin-Model # 8C3F-8" Encapsulated Motor (100HP/75 KW, 50/60 Hz, 380-415/ 460 VAC, 3- Phase) o Installation of 570' of 6" T&C Schedule 40 piping and fittings to connect the pump to the pressure tank and water distribution system. o Installation of wiring and electrical connections (575' of #1-gauge wire required for pump operation). o Installation ofthe control panel for the pump's operation. o Installation of necessary valves and fittingsfor proper operation ofthe watersystem. Site Preparation: o Ensure that the installation area is clear of debris and obstacles. o Verify that all materials and parts are on-site and ready forinstallation. Installation Process: o Follow manufacturer guidelines for the installation of all components. o Ensure proper alignment, connections, and secure fastening of all parts. o Conduct tests to ensure that all components function correctly post-installation. Safety Measures: o Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards during installation. o Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the installation process. Final Inspection and Testing: o Conduct a final inspection to ensure all parts are installed correctly. o Perform testing of the installed components to ensure proper functionality. o Provide a report detailing the installation process and outcomes. Deliverables o Installation ofspecified components. o Documentation of installation procedures and outcomes. o Installer will not be responsible for providing warranties on materials purchased by GSU. Completion Date: March 31st, 2025
