The City was awarded a grant to build Concession Stand/Bathrooms along with ADA Improvements at the Superblock. Work under Base Bid to include the demolition of a portion of the existing asphalt walking path. New work to include the construction of a new CMU block with a shingle roof building with spaces including two restrooms, a family restroom, concession facility, and storage. Facility will also include a large covered shelter attached to the building with mass timber framing and tongue and groove decking. Finish work to include, but not limited to, concrete interior and exterior work, painting, insulation, casework, stainless steel doors and frames, overhead coiling countertop doors, metal gutter and downspouts, metal signage, FRP paneling, concrete foundations, and red cedar exterior architectural woodwork. Corresponding civil, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work will be included. Work under Alternate Bid #1 to include the complete installation of approximately 3,866 SF of concrete sidewalk within the athletic facility as shown in the construction documents. Work under Alternate Bid #2 to include the complete installation of approximately 2,296 SF of concrete sidewalk within the athletic facility as shown in the construction documents. Bid security in the form of a certified bank check or bank draft payable to the City of Carbondale, or a satisfactory bid bond, in the amount of 10% of the total bid price, as specified in Section 2-7 of the General Conditions and the City of Carbondale's Policy for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and/or Workforce Participation Goals in Contracts are required to be submitted with the Bid.
