Specific questions regarding the bid specification should be made to Lt. Derek Hawkins, Voorhees Township Police Department, 1180 White Horse Road, Voorhees, New Jersey 08043, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during normal business hours. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder shall, within ten (10) days after official acceptance by the Mayor and Township Committee of Voorhees Township of his bid, execute a contract and deliver same to the Township Clerk. Failure to do so will be considered as an abandonment of the contract. The form of contract will be furnished to the successful bidder by the Township Solicitor. The term of this contract shall be for the period of January 1, 2025 to January 1, 2026. Prices shall not change during this period of time. If the Township so desires, the contract may be extended for two 1-year extensions. Must be in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check, or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount and should be made payable to Voorhees Township. A Consent Surety Statement, and a Certificate of Authority issued by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, must be submitted. Voorhees Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid which best appears to be in their best interest. Voorhees Township also reserves the right to consider any proposal invalid which considers furnishing said items which do not conform strictly to that specified. If a non-conforming proposal is not discovered at the time of the bid opening, Voorhees Township reserves the right to reject said proposal at any time prior to execution of the contracts. These bids will then remain sealed until they are to be opened Bids will not be accepted after the specified time. Each proposal must state the name and address of person, firm or corporation interested in the same as a principal. All challenges to bid specifications are to be presented within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening and must be in writing. Challenges to the bid specifications filed after the bid opening shall have no effect on bid awards. TERMINATION: In the event and at any time during the contract the bidder is not able to responsibly perform work or meet the requirements as stated within this specification, the bidder may be released from the contract. At the sole discretion of the VTPD, it shall reserve the right to determine if the successful bidder is not able to perform responsibly perform under the contract. The VTPD will contact the bidder in writing indicating the contract will be terminated. Any vehicle work that is in progress shall be completed with seven (7) days upon contract cancellation and returned to VTPD. Reasons for contract termination may be but not limited to: frequent delays in diagnosing vehicle concerns, improperly identifying proper corrective actions, failure to employ the latest protocols and standard practices in the automotive repair industry, failure to properly repair a concern in a timely manner, use of after-market parts without approval, creating incidental damages during a repair, meet warranty requirements, unable to submit invoices and reports in the proper format(s) as indicated in the requirements, attend fleet maintenance meetings as required by the offices of VTPD, negligence.
