Bids will be for the collection and removal of residential rubbish, trash, and garbage curbside during the period beginning January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025, with options to award for either one, two, three, four, or five years with an option to continue for a sixth year at a set increase, and up to 10 years as described in the specifications. The Borough reserves the right to award a trash contract for any of the periods provided for in the bid. The successful contractor shall respond within 10 days of contract award. The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any bid or any part of any bid and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder whose services are judged to best meet the interest of the Borough. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of $40,000 shall be required. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount are required for the duration of the contract. The East Lansdowne Borough Council reserves the right to waive any minor informalities and/or irregularities in the bid.
