Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project provides for the removal and replacement of up to 4,460 linear feet of pipe ranging in size from 12" to 54", removal and replacement of up to fifty-five (55) storm structures (inlets, junction boxes, flared end sections, etc.) and associated site restoration. The Project also includes the in-place lining of up to 4,240 linear feet of storm sewer pipe ranging in size from 15" to 42", as well as spiral wound lining of up to 392 linear feet of storm sewer pipe ranging from 30" to 54". Lastly the project entails streambank stabilization (W 49th Terr & Roundtree St) of approximately 600 cubic yards of riprap and additional restoration items. These repairs include work at 24 separate (twenty-four) locations and the potential to add up to 12 (twelve) add alternate locations. 7 (seven) locations also include alternate bid options, which entail the same location with two repair alternatives. Incidental construction will also include surface restoration including concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete inlet tops, street repair, sod, and other items. The city intends to extend the proposed agreement and contract with the successful low bidder for a period of one (1) year following the notice to proceed. Each Bidder shall upload and/or file with their bid a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bids.
