The Winnipesaukee River Basin Program (WRBP) back-up power systems periodically require miscellaneous emergency repair services on an as-needed basis. The WRBP owns and operates the regional wastewater collection and treatment system serving ten (10) Lakes Region communities. The work may involve emergency repairs to any of the generator sets providing emergency power that are permanently located at 12 pump stations, at the Franklin wastewater treatment facility (WWTF), or two portable units. These 14 diesel generators and one propane-fired generator provide emergency electrical power when normal utility power is interrupted. It is essential that a suitable back-up source of power is always available. As part of the regular maintenance of these generators performed by WRBP staff, these generators are load tested annually. Any minor repairs are typically performed by staff, with major repairs or upgrades provided by separate solicitation of quotes not under this contract.
