The City of Laconia Public Works Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms capable of providing services related to the supply and installation of approximately three hundred (300) feet of four (4) foot high chain link fencing on Tyler Street from the intersection of Pine Street toward 36 Tyler Street (see attached diagram). 1. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials needed to construct approximately three hundred (300) feet of four (4) foot high chain link fencing as specified below. 2. Commercial Grade Fencing Specifications a) Galvanized 9 gauge fence with 2" mesh, 4 ft. tall. b) Top Rail 1 5/8" O.D. c) Posts: 2 7/8" O.D. for terminal, end and comer posts; 2 3/8" for line posts. d) Dome style post caps e) Bottom tension wire f) Posts to be maximum 1 O' apart g) Posts to be set in 30" x 8" holes. h) Concrete for posts to be mounded at base of post to prevent ponding. 3. Prior to any construction, it is the contractor's responsibility to contact DIG-SAGE and verify all underground utility locations. 4. Prior to construction, the contractor shall request a City of Laconia Excavation Permit from the Public Works Department. The City of Laconia reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or any part thereof, to waive any formality in the proposal process, and to accept the proposal considered to be in the best interest of the City. The City may cancel this Request for Proposals at any time for any reason. Failure to submit all information called for may be sufficient grounds for disqualification. 1)A performance bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the City, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the full term of the contract; and (2) A payment bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the City, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided in the contract. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the full term of the contract.
