The following bonds or security shall be delivered to the City and shall become binding on the parties upon the execution of the contract: (1) A performance bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner acceptable to the City, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the entire term of the contract; and (2) A payment bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner acceptable to the City, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided in the contract. The bond shall equal one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the agreement for the entire contract term. Any questions or inquiries must be submitted in writing and received by the Purchasing Office no later than seven (7) calendar days (1/30/2025) before the Request for Bid due date (2/6/2025) to be considered. The City of Laconia reserves the right to accept or reject any bids or any part thereof, waive any formality in the bidding process, and accept the bid considered in the City's best interest as determined solely by the Director of Public Works. Failure to submit all information called for may be sufficient grounds for disqualification. The City reserves the right to cancel this bid request anytime for any reason.
