It is the intent of this contract to provide for "Miscellaneous Bridge, Dock, and Boat Ramp Rehabilitation and Construction" for projects within Escambia County, Florida per Florida Department of Transportation "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction" (current edition) and the "Escambia County Bridge, Dock, and Boat Ramp Specification Guide" (current edition). The proposed contract will provide construction services on projects initiated by the BOCC specific to Bridges, Docks, and Boat Ramps. Multiple contracts will be awarded as the result of this advertisement. The objective of this Request for Qualifications is to enter into a continuing contract with multiple qualified contractors/vendors to obtain bids for the rehabilitation and construction of Bridges, Docks, and Boat Ramps as the projects are scoped and funded. Escambia County reserves its right to reject any or all Proposals, including without limitation nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Proposals. The County further reserves the right to reject the Proposal of any Respondent whom it finds after reasonable inquiry and evaluation to not be responsible. In evaluating Respondents, the County may consider the qualifications of Respondents and may consider the qualifications and experience of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities proposed for those portions of the Work for which the identity of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities must be submitted as a part of the Proposal.
