The Kent County Purchasing Division on behalf of Kent County Community Action is soliciting qualifications for contractor services for residential housing repairs and upgrades. SCOPE The Kent County Community Action Department facilitates residential housing repairs and upgrades to occupied homes and is seeking organizations authorized to do business in Michigan to perform contractor services for general home-related repairs. Projects may include one or multiple home-related repairs at individual private residences throughout Kent County. Organizations who respond to and meetthe requirements ofthis Request for Qualifications will be added to the Kent County Community Action Department FY2026 (October 2025 to September 2026) PreQualified Contractor List. Organizations included on the Pre-Qualified Contractor List may then be contacted by Kent County for a project quote as locations are identified. To promote equitable business opportunities, Kent County will rotate among pre-qualified contractors when seeking a quote for a project. The Pre-Qualified Contractor List may also be provided to individual residential property owners seeking to identify contractors eligible to participate in Kent County funded projects. Participating contractors must be lawfully registered and/or licensed, as applicable, to work within the State of Michigan. Contractors engaged to complete project work are responsible for obtaining necessary work permits and clearances, as needed, and including those costs as appropriate within their project specific quote.
