Renovation of a residential development in Millbury, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The MILLBURY HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Fire Alarm Upgrade Phase II at State Aided Development: Centerview (667-3) in Millbury, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by SHEKAR & ASSOCIATES, INC. The Project consists of but not limited to: Replace existing fire alarm system with new addressable fire alarm system consisting of main fire alarm control panel, fire alarm devices, conduit with copper conductors and related electrical work. The work is estimated to cost $307,000.00. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 11/29/2024 at 2:00PM EST for general bids. THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Electrical, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/Gene-ral Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the MILLBURY HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), for-merly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final con-tract price including ac-cepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to EOHLC (david.mcclave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED.
