The Project consists of preparation of a scope of work, including submission of any necessary building permits with Mono County, and implementing said work for demolition of damaged overhang, reconstructing the overhang, shingling the roof overhang, sealing the soffit with fire safe material, repairing stucco, building a propane house for the propane shut-off valve and meter, resetting and sealing the window, replacing any window trim, repairing the interior window sill, and if needed drywalling and ceiling panels, and carpet cleaning. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess the following State of California Contractor Licenses: - Type B - General Building Contractor The Bidder's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening. The successful prime contractor and subcontractors shall maintain all appropriate licenses throughout the term of the Contract. As security for its Bid, each Bidder shall provide with its Bid form one of the following in the amount often percent (10%) of the total bid price: (a) a bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by MCOE, (b) cash, or (c) a cashier's check or a certified check drawn to the order of MCOE, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. This bid security shall be a guarantee that the Bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with MCOE for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. MCOE's Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If MCOE awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful Bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60)days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no Bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. During this time, all bidders shall guarantee prices quoted on their respective bids. MCOE shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible Bidder based on: The base bid amount only.
