The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) invites prospective bidders to review and respond to the attached Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 24C820001 entitled, CHP Bridgeport Area office - Furnace Replacement Services REBID. When preparing and submitting a bid, compliance with the instructions found herein is imperative. Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) Bridgeport Area office, the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Furnace and Air Conditioning Unit Replacement Services as set forth in this Agreement. 1. License Requirement/Certification: Contractor must possess a valid C-20 , Warm Air Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractor, California Contractor's State License Board Specialty License. A. Contractor shall provide a Payment Bond equal to 100 percent of the value of the Agreement. Contractor shall complete State of California Standard 807, in duplicate, and submit prior to execution of Agreement. Scope of Work (Continued) Work to be completed: A. Remove and dispose of the existing furnace unit according to federal, state, and local regulations. B. Install one (1) new commercial grade Lennox down flow furnace unit (Model ML180DF090E48B), or equivalent, including fan and all other parts, fittings, and rebuild kits to connect to the existing piping if needed. C. Install one (1) new commercial grade Lennox condenser, model ML17cx1-036- 230, or equivalent. D. Install one (1) new Lennox coil, model CR33-488, or equivalent. E. New unit shall connect to existing duct work, gas line, electrical and venting. F. Where applicable, Contractor is to seek any public utility rebates and pass the cost savings on to the California Highway Patrol. G. Contractor shall start-up and test unit to ensure proper operation and to make any adjustments needed. H. Contractor shall provide on-site training to CHP staff on the operation and functions of the newly installed furnace unit. I. Contractor shall provide two copies of Operation and Maintenance Manuals to the CHP on-site contact. J. Contractor is responsible for obtaining any permits required for the installation of the furnace unit. K. Contractor shall remove all debris, including packaging materials from the jobsite daily. L. Contractor shall warranty work for a period of one year after installation and provide manufacturer's warranty on equipment installed. M. The replacement equipment and installation must be compliant with the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 6, regulations. The services shall be performed at: Department of California Highway Patrol Bridgeport Area office 125 Main Street Bridgeport, CA 93517 The services shall be provided during: All work shall be performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless other arrangements are approved by the CHP on-site contact. Late sign-ins will not be accepted. Bidders that arrive after the walk-through start time will not be allowed to sign-in. No bid will be considered from a Contractor that did not sign-in at the mandatory walkthrough. The term of the resulting agreement is anticipated to be effective from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The agreement term may change if CHP makes An award earlier than expected or if CHP cannot execute the agreement in a timely manner due to unforeseen delays. CHP reserves the right to extend the term of the resulting agreement as necessary to complete or continue the services. Agreement extensions are subject to satisfactory performance, funding availability, and possibly approval by Department of General Services (DGS). All bid packages properly received according to the IFB instructions on or before the bid due date will be opened and read. Bidders may email joshua.wickland@chp.ca.gov to request bid results. Following the question submission deadline, the CHP will post a summary response of the questions and answers to be viewed electronically. CHP reserves the right to reject all bids and to cancel this IFB if it is in the best interest of CHP to do so.
