The Intent of this Invitation to Bid is for the Parks & Recreation Department for the City of Bridgeport in partnership with the Town of Fairfield Conservation Department to obtain total cost information to plant a quantity of 42,000 American beach grass culms (Ammophila Breviligulata) and related work, such as protective fencing, as applicable in a location designated by the City and Town at St. Mary's by the Sea at Ash Creek during the 2022 winter months. All plant material, fertilizer supplements, fencing, labor, equipment, gas and or diesel, specified or implied, necessary to perform this project per the attached scope of work are to be supplied by Contractor unless otherwise specified. Bidders are responsible for reviewing the proposed location for beach grass planting and to make themselves familiar the site. Contractors are responsible to view existing conditions. It is the bidders' sole responsibility to make themselves familiar with the conditions at the site and to determine the scope of the job, as no allowances for price or lead time will be made for errors in judgment or omissions. Any addendum notifications shall be posted on website. The Contractor shall have landscaping planting and habitat restoration experience with a minimum of five years with references. The supervisor for this project must have the same experience. The contractor must be licensed in the State of Connecticut.
