Renovation of a transportation facility in Quincy, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
As of January 27, 2025, the Quincy City Council rejected the bid from Laverdiere Construction of Macomb IL in the amount of $2,115,602.00. The project will be redesigned and bid on a later date. The project consists of replacement of the building roof, sealing the existing windows, stair replacement, site work, and associated work. The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. Bidders are notified that no less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract. Question Deadline 11/22/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Questions will be reviewed and responses to questions that do not involve a change to the contract documents will be issued weekly via email. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered.
