Science Labs Renovations 1301 South 48th Street, Quincy, IL 62301 Work generally consists of remodeling 6300 square feet of existing lab, classroom space and restroom space for new science labs restrooms. The scope of work includes demolition (walls, flooring, ceiling, MEP); New partition walls, installing new flooring and ceilings, new plumbing fixtures, cabinets, doors and plumbing, mechanical and electrical work. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the TOTAL BASE BID. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Joh Wood Community College equal to this amount will be an acceptable Bid Bond.. The John Wood Community College Board of Trustees is Not Obligated to Accept the Lowest Dollar Bid and Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids or to Waive Any Informalities, Irregularities, Technicalities, or Defects in Any Bid Should the Board Deem It in the Best Interest of the School District to Do So. Prospective bidders must comply with 30 Illinois Compiled Statutes 570 et seq. regarding preference to Illinois citizens or public works projects.
