Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified contractors to provide housing rehabilitation services at the following location:1508 Spruce Street, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Question Deadline 12/11/2024 at 4:30 PM ET Question Response Deadline: December 13, 2024, 4:30pm. If any additional services are requested from the homeowner, the Contractor will be required to notify the County Project Manager or designee. No additional services shall be performed until the contractor receives written authorization from Clay County. Clay County Building Department has performed an inspection on the residence and provided the Community Services Department with a list of recommended repairs. All recommended repairs are included in the Pricing Proposal section of this Request for Quotes. Below is the list of recommended repairs: A. HVAC 1. Replace the 2.5 ton HVAC unit. B. Carpentry 1. Repair the drywall in the ceiling of the garage. C. Electrical 1. Install smoke alarms to current code in all three (3) bedrooms (communicating/linked ten (10) year battery minimum that can be blue toothed or new hard wired replacements). 2. Add GFCI Outlet protection as needed in the laundry room, kitchen, bathrooms, garage, and exterior outlets. 3. Install box & cover in the garage ceiling for exposed wiring that was for the unused garage door control. D. Plumbing 1. Remove the tub and tile in the guest bathroom and replace it with a new tub/shower unit that fits the existing footprint. 2. Remove and replace the master bathroom sink-drains, popup, supply lines, and faucet. E. Paint and Wallpaper 1. Repair drywall and re-paint in the guest bathroom. The County reserves the right to make an award either in part or completely, and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the County; providing best value to the County with price, technical, and other applicable factors considered. Term Substantial Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be obtained within ninety (90) days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages: The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the contract.
