Proposal for Memorial Park Playground Improvements The general description of work consists of the construction of approximately the following quantities: Site Clearing, 1 LS; Installation of Playground Structures, 1 LS; Installation of New Playground Sand, 29 Tons; HMA 9.5M64 Walkway 8SY; Site Restoration, 85 SY; SESC, 1LS; Engineered Wood Fiber Playground Mulch, 60CY; Landscape retaining wall either Timber tie or Versa-Lok, 630SF; Swing and Slide rubber mats, 6 Each. The plans, specifications and related bid documents for the proposed work are prepared by Bryce D. Good, P.E., CPESC, of Finelli Consulting Engineers/A Division of UTRS and are available at Finelli Consulting Engineers / UTRS, 205 Route 31 North, Washington, New Jersey and are on file for inspection in the Office of the Township Clerk of the Township of Lebanon, Township Municipal Building, 530 W. Hill Road, Glen Gardner, New Jersey 08826 during regular business hours. All proposals shall be enclosed in opaque sealed envelopes plainly marked "Proposal for Memorial Park Playground Improvements" and shall show the name and address of the bidder. Bids may be forwarded by certified mail. If mailed, the sealed envelope containing the proposal and marked as directed above must be enclosed in another envelope properly addressed for mailing as follows: Carolynn Budd, Clerk Township of Lebanon Municipal Building 530 W. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a Consent of Surety plus a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, not to exceed $20,000, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, binding the bidder to execute a contract and furnish the required performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of this bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds for the faithful performance of the contract each in a sum not less than 100% of the total price for the completed bid, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township Bidders are put on notice that they and all subcontractors hired by them to work on this project must pay any and all workmen employed on this project no less than the prevailing wage rates and benefits for the craft or trade or classification of workmen, as set forth by the Commissioner of Labor and Industry, under the "New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150, of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964," together, jointly and severally, with wage determination of the United States Secretary of Labor currently in effect. The Township reserves the right to waive minor defects and informalities in any bid and to reject any and all bids, or to accept bids that are in the opinion of the Township, in the best interest of the Township. The Township of Lebanon also reserves the right to extend or reduce the scope of work to remain within the allotted funds available. No bidder may withdraw this bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening of bids.
