The City of Hamilton, on behalf of the Hamilton Police Service (HPS), is undertaking an upgrade and integration of Closed Circuit Camera Television System (CCTV) at two locations: Division 20 at 2525 King St E, Hamilton and Division 30 at 400 Rymal Road E, Hamilton. These systems will be incorporated into its centralized Genetec Omnicast video surveillance platform. This initiative addresses current system limitations, including outdated technology, insufficient monitoring capabilities, and a fragmented surveillance approach due to the use of various brands and technologies. By consolidating these systems under the Genetec Omnicast platform, HPS aims to enhance monitoring capabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish a more cohesive and secure surveillance infrastructure. This project includes the supply, delivery, and installation of new IP cameras and archivers. It will ensure compatibility with existing systems and regulatory standards, ultimately creating a unified and adaptable surveillance environment that strengthens overall security measures within the Hamilton Police Service.
