Fire Alarm Panel Upgrade Project. The South Shore Charter Public School is solicitating quotes from licensed electrical and fire alarm contractors to split a speaker system in two and add a amplifier to a separate circuit. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Questions about this project should be directed to Wayne Heuer, Dir. of Facilities, wheuer@sscps.org or 781-427-4695 - Contractor must be licensed for both electrical and re alarm work. - Split the existing re alarm system speaker circuit into two separate Class A speaker circuits. - Provision and Installation of a new re alarm system amplier next to the existing amplier in the school's lobby. - Contractor is responsible for investigating the existing re alarm system to determine the midway point of the circuit. - Contractor shall split the circuit at the midway point and install new feed/return speaker wiring to the new and existing ampliers such that two Class A speaker circuits serve the building. - Contractor is responsible for verifying and adjusting all existing speaker taps to match the speaker tap specications outlined on Attachment A. Tap settings shall be set as follows: - Classrooms 1/2 watt - Corridors 1/4 watt - Oce Spaces 1/4 watt - Gymnasiums 2 watts - Auditorium 2 watts - Mechanical Spaces 1/2 watt - Contractor must include a minimum of eight (8) hours of coordination to adjust the speaker tap settings post pre-acceptance testing. - Contractor is responsible for working with the Norwell Fire Department and Jensen Hughes (designer) to test decibel levels until they meet passing requirements. - Contractor must pay prevailing wages - Contractor is responsible for all permits and fees - Removal of any debris from the site, which shall be cleaned after each shift. -All work to be done in workmanship like manner - Hours available to work Monday-Friday 6am to 3:00pm - Work to be done on an agreed upon date by both parties, Contractor and School.
