The project generally consists of the mill and overlay of 5th Avenue from Hammond Avenue to Madison Avenue, sanitary sewer improvements and drainage improvements. Approximate construction quantities include 630 tons of HMA surface course, 5,200 SY of HMA Milling, 270 LF of concrete curb, 230 SY of concrete sidewalk, 1,730 LF of Sanitary Sewer Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining, and other associated work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid may be substituted for certified check, except the amount of the bid security shall not be less than $500.00 - nor more than $20,000.00. The Borough Council of the Borough of Bradley Beach reserves the right to reject any or all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the Borough to do so. The Owner proposes the construction of improvements and all appurtenant work necessary at locations detailed on the Contract Plans.
