Renovation of a military facility in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

Seller Question Deadline: 11/26/2024 - 11:00 ET Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the buyer to respond. Questions can be submitted by using the 'Questions & Responses' link. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered. 1. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, material, equipment, and work lifts necessary to supply, install, dispose of old furnace, and make operational, two fuel-fired mounted 135K BTU heaters, with two separate thermostatic control, within the BMF. 2. The proposed heating units will comply with the following specifications: a. Install two condensing 92.9% efficient, 135,000 Btu/hr units according to manufacturer specifications. b. Power shall be provided to the units according to manufacturer specifications. c. Power shall be provided from the panel supported by the back-up generator located in the northeast corner of the BMF. d. Natural gassupply linesshall be provided to the units. Gasshall be disconnected from the existing furnace in adjacent mechanical room and extended through the adjoining north wall of the boat bay to serve the two unit heaters. e. Thermostatic control unit shall be wired to control each unit. 3. The installation location requirements of the units are: a. Both heating unit shall be located on the west wall, hung at approximately 9 ft above floor, directly below existing ductwork, 20 ft from the north end of the building. b. Thermostatic controlsshall be located on the west wall, approximately 5 ft above the floor, below each unit. Control shall not be located near any equipment with a significant thermal output. 4. Removal of the old furnace a. Electrical secure old unit within the breaker panel and verify. b. Secure natural gas to the furnace and remove as much piping as possible. Cap all pipe ends not needed. (If necessary) c. All ducting/brackets/furnace associated with old unit will be removed and recycled per Federal and State requirements off-site
