The Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or part of a proposal; to waive any informalities or technicalities; clarify any ambiguities in proposals; modify any criteria in this RFP; and unless otherwise specified, to accept any item in a proposal. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking to establish a 5-year contract for Septic System Pumping and Disposal Service for the Hillsdale State Park, 26001 W. 255th Street, Paola, KS. Termination: The Contract may be terminated by either party, without cause, with sixty (60) days prior written notice. Payment will be made periodically but at least monthly on receipt of an approved invoice clearly showing dates of service. Scope of Work: The contractor will pump sewage from park holding tanks, pit toilets and ,waste water lift station pump pits periodically as requested and directed by the Agency. There are three -- 1,000 gallon, five -- 1,500 gallon, three -- 2,000 gallon holding tanks and four-- 1,500 gallon, three -- 2,000 gallon pit toilets four lift station pump pits., three septic field primary tanks. The contractor's truck will arrive empty and sewage will be pumped from tank/pits until the truck's tank is full. All sewage will be taken to one of the two waste water lagoon facilities at the park area. The contractor will respond to notification of needed service within two (2) days. The contractor may be requested to assist outside normal business hours when a lift station is not operating. The contractor's vacuum tank pumping system shall be capable of properly removing sewage contained in these tanks and pits. The contractor shall dispose of sewage in accordance with all City, County, State and Federal regulations. The contractor shall possess and maintain all required licenses/permits and provide them upon request. Estimate Usage: The Agency anticipates approximately 16 loads required annually. Twelve loads April through September and four loads October through March. No minimum number of loads is guaranteed. The contractor shall furnish to Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks proof of Public Liability, Property Damage and Workman's Compensation Insurance prior to commencement of work.
