Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
The Work Described Herein Will Be Performed Under Four (4) Separate Prime Contracts (General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Plumbing Construction and Electrical Construction) and Include, but Are Not Limited to, Construction of a +/-13,590 Sf Pre-engineered Metal Building Fieldhouse, a 1,520 Sf Cmu Conventional Construction Building for the Concession Stand and Women's Restroom and a 816 Sf Cmu Conventional Construction Building for the Men's and Family Restrooms. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Comply With Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All Employees Must Be Paid the Prevailing Minimum Wages Established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor & Industry. Verification of Compliance Must Be Provided by All Contactors, Including Subcontractors. A Certified Check, Payable to River Valley School District, or a Satisfactory Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and an Acceptable Surety in an Amount Equal to 10 Percent (10%) of the Total of the Bid Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid to Guarantee the Bidder's Entrance Into a Contract if Given the Award. No Bid Bond Shall Be Waived or Returned Because the Bidder Has Failed to or Cannot Comply With Any Requirements Set Forth in the Plans, Specifications, or Any Applicable Statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania School Code, or Any Applicable Ordinances. No Bid May Be Withdrawn for Sixty (60) Calendar Days After the Scheduled Closing Time for Receipt of Bids. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by the Documents as Required by the Bidding Documents. Bidding and Contract Requirements for the Contract Are Described in Detail in the Contract Drawings and Contract Documents, Including but Not Limited to: Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, Supplementary Conditions and General Conditions. The Successful Bidder of Each Prime Contract Will Be Required to Execute the Agreement and to Furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, Both to Be in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price, in the Respective Form Provided in the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder Also Will Be Required to Furnish Evidence of Insurance Coverage as Required by the Bidding Documents. No Bids May Be Withdrawn, Except When the Bidder Complies With the Withdrawal Requirements of Act No. 4 of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania, Senate Bill 793, Printers No. 1655, as Amended. Construction for the Full Scope of Work is Subject to and Under the Requirements of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates Which Are Included in the Specifications. All Bids Shall Be in a Sealed Opaque Envelope and Plainly Marked as Follows: River Valley School District 102 School Lane Blairsville, Pa 15717 Bid for: Fieldhouse, Concession and Restroom Buildings Project Rvsd Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or Parts Thereof, to Waive Any Defects or Irregularities in the Bids, and to Accept Any Bid Which, in Its Judgment, is for Its Best Interest. Bids Shall Remain Open for a Period of Sixty (60) Days From the Date of Bid Opening Unless Award is Delayed by a Required Approval From a Governmental Agency, in Which Event the Bids Shall Remain Open for a Period of One-hundred Twenty (120) Days From the Date of the Bid Opening.
