Site work for a development in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
This project involves the dredging and appropriate offsite disposal of approximately 3,000 cubic yards of excavated material from Hillcrest Pond. Successful bidder is responsible for securing all permits and adhering to required regulations. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Township of Springfield, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labor and Materialmen's Bond, each in an amount of 100% of the contract amount. Bidder qualifications and schedule of prices shall be submitted with the bid. A Certificate of Insurance, showing proof of Workers Compensation Coverage, and a completed Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Form must also be submitted. Bid proposals shall incorporate minimum wages and salaries as set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (prevailing wages). The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. Springfield Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to eliminate or reduce items or quantities, to waive any informality, or take other such action that is deemed to be in the best interest of the Township and as may be permitted by law. Bids may be held by the Township for a period of up to 60 days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing Bids and investigating qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding Contract. Springfield Township does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. Question Deadline 12/02/2024 at 12:00 PM ET Written questions shall be submitted no later than to Woodrow & Associates, Inc., 1108 N. Bethlehem Pike, Suite 5, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002 Militia Hill Road Dumpsite - The contractor is expected to use watertight dump trucks to transport spoils taken from the pond to the Township's Militia Hill Road Dumpsite. There shall be no silt laden water, debris or other detrimental impact to the public thoroughfare through the transportation process. Hillcrest Pond - Access shall be taken through the school district bus garage property. The Township will work with the school district to assure free and open access to the pond through the bus terminal parking lot. . Militia Hill Road Dumpsite - The Contractor shall install 300 linear feet of 18-inch silt sock erosion protection at the direction ofthe Township Engineer to impound the material dredged from the pond. Hillcrest Pond -Access to the pond shall be stabilized with turf planks and/or stone tire cleaner to assure that there will be no debris carried by the trucks out ofthe construction site and into the public space.
