Single lump sum bids are required accordance with plans and specifications. Sealed bids shall be marked 'Ogdensburg Public Library New Lift Enclosure.' The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed. This is a NYS Prevailing Wage rate project. Certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) and Section 3-elgible contracting firms are encouraged to consider this Project. Attention of bidders is called to the tax-exempt status. Bids should not include sales and compensating use tax on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the structure. Ogdensburg Public Library reserves the right to consider all bids for a period of not to exceed forty-five (45) days following the bid opening before awarding the Contract, during which period bids shall not be withdrawn, and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bids, and to award the Contract in the Owner's best interest. The date of substantial completion for the work shall be no later than 1 June 2025. A penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day may be assessed for late substantial completion.
