The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number WO428096, Welcome Center EV Charging Stations - Site Contract and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to perform site work required for the future installation of two new Blink Series 8 - Model 880 EV charging stations adjacent to the new Binghamton University Welcome Center. The site work includes demolishing +/- 960 square feet of existing asphalt pavement (sidewalk and parking areas) and replacing said asphalt pavement with new concrete pavement. The site work also includes trenching for new electrical conduit and electrical line installation from an existing pull box to the new charging station footers. Restoring the disturbed landscaped area is also included in the scope of work. Welcome Center EV Charging Stations - Site Contract Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
