Renovation of an educational facility in Hilo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project is a removal and replacement of duct and pipe insulation in the 4th floor mechanical room and in the ceiling of the 3rd floor and the installation of a pre-cool cooling coil. The scope of work includes new duct and pipe insulation, new outdoor air pre-cooling coil, replacement of an air handling unit motor and variable frequency drive and associated piping, instrumentation and controls, and miscellaneous related work. This work will also include selective demolition, structural steel, sealants, gypsum wallboard, acoustical ceiling, painting, fire alarm system, hardwired, general mechanical requirements, mechanical sound, vibration and seismic control, mechanical insulation, chilled water piping, air handling equipment, ductwork and accessories, direct digital control system, hvac testing/adjusting/balancing, electrical general requirements, wiring systems, interior lighting. The University reserves the right, at any time, if additional funds are available, to add additional work to the project scope during construction. The work may include, but is not limited to, new work, repairs, upgrades, and demolition. Any additional work will generally be within the Project limits.
