REBID NOTICE: We will be separating the plumbing work which will be Contract 1 and the kitchen replacement will be Contract 2 into separate contracts. Both will have the same wage determination. Both contracts will have to closely coordinate their work where the kitchens are being replaced on 2 stacks. All the work shown on the drawings and in the Specifications shall be performed by the Contractor. Work not shown in the following summary does not relieve the Contractor from performing the Work. The cost of work items shown on the drawings but not shown in the summary shall be included in the associated work item. The Base Bid shall include the work as scheduled, detailed and shown on the Drawings and the Specifications. For changes of the Work, including adding and/or deleting work items, and upon written instruction from the Architect, the following work item cost breakdown shall prevail. All work items shall include the cost of material, labor, contractor's profit and overhead for a complete installation. CLARIFICATION NO. 1 Charleston Housing will waive the 50 mile office requirement but must provide a 24 hr guarantee to be on site. Contractors shall have 5 years minimum experience in the work being performed. Charleston-Kanawha Housing reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Charleston-Kanawha Housing Par Value U. S. Government bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.
