Gull Lake Community Schools - 2018 Bond Project - Additional Improvements PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Project consists of upgrades to four buildings, Bedford, Kellogg Early Childhood, Middle School, and Ryan Intermediate as one project, considered Additional Improvements to the 2018 Bond Project. Work is scheduled for early June to Mid-August of 2025. Kellogg Early Childhood is an 80,600 SQFT single-story building. Project work is approximately 11,000 SQFT. Exterior site work will include entry drive and parking lot asphalt replacement. Project work will include remodeling restrooms. Mechanical improvements will include new classroom fan coil units, condensing units, and new controls. Plumbing improvements will include domestic water lines and plumbing fixture replacements. Electrical improvements will include the replacement of parking lot lighting. The Middle School is a 140,900 SQFT single-story building with project work remodeling to include visual display boards in classrooms, Life Skills remodel, interior corridor gypsum repairs, and select areas for floor coatings. Mechanical improvements will include new unit ventilators and condensing units. Plumbing improvements will include domestic water lines and plumbing fixture replacements. Electrical improvements will include new lighting and lighting controls. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bid(s) shall accompany each Proposal (refer to Section 00 4313) PERFORMANCE BOND AND PAYMENT BOND: All Contractors bidding on Work in excess of $50,000.00 must be bondable and must include in their Proposal the cost for furnishing a Performance Bond and Payment Bond listing Gull Lake Community Schools as Obligee (refer to Section 00 6100). CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATION STATEMENT: A current Contractor Qualification Statement must be on file with Miller-Davis Company in order to be awarded a Contract (refer to Specification Section 00 4513). This request will be sent to a Contractor's designated contact via an emailed link from Trade Tapp. As required by State Law (P.A. 232 of 2004), all bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between Gull Lake Community Schools or any employee of the bidder and any member of the school board or the superintendent of the school district; and a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance-Iran Economics Sanctions Act. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include the sworn and notarized disclosure statements. The Owner intends to award Contracts on or about Tuesday, January 20, 2025.
