Ecological Management 2025 - Braidwood Dunes and Savanna Nature Preserve This project is located at Braidwood Dunes and Savanna Nature Preserve which is south of Highway 113 between South Comet Drive and Essex Road in Will County in Township, IL. Work shall begin within 10 business days of receipt of the written Notice to Proceed. Work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents by December 31, 2025, as provided in the General Conditions, Article IV, Section 4.4 Bids cannot be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after bid opening. Bids will be reviewed by the Forest Preserve and presented to the Board of Commissioners for Award of Contract at their regular board meeting on February 13, 2025. The Forest Preserve will issue a written Notice of Contract Award to the successful Bidder The bid submitted shall include a certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, bid bond or an acceptable irrevocable letter of credit payable to the Forest Preserve District of Will County for not less than 10% of total Bid amount. All such Bid Security must be drawn on a bank authorized to do business in Illinois or provided by a bonding company authorized and licensed to do business in Illinois, as applicable, and must be maintained until execution of the Contract. Bids submitted without Bid Security will not be considered. The Bid Security will be returned to the successful Bidder upon execution of the Contract. Bid securities will be returned to unsuccessful Bidders upon execution of the Contract by the successful Bidder. The successful Bidder shall submit a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond as outlined in the General Conditions, Article VI, Section 6.1. The performance and payment bonds shall be provided by a bonding company authorized and licensed to do business in Illinois. The FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT OF WILL COUNTY reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or parts or combinations thereof, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to reject any or all bids.
