This project is located at McKinley Woods Preserve. There are two access points for the preserve: Fredericks Grove located on McKinley Woods Road, south of Route 6/Eames Street, in Channahon Township; and Kerry Sheridan Grove located on Walnut Lane, east of Blackberry Lane, in Channahon, Will County, Illinois. The bid submitted shall include a certified check, bank draft, cashier s check, bid bond or an acceptable irrevocable letter of credit payable to the Forest Preserve District of Will County for not less than 10% of total Bid amount. Contractor shall submit and maintain a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond for an amount equal to 100% of the Contract. The Surety shall be a corporation licensed to do such business in the State of Illinois and must be acceptable to the Forest Preserve Work shall begin within 10 business days of receipt of the written Notice to Proceed. Work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents by December 31, 2025, as provided in the General Conditions, Article IV, Section 4.4. The Forest Preserve reserves the right to accept any Bid, any part or combinations of Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to reject any and all Bids to protect and preserve both the Forest Preserve and the public's best interest
