A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work is generally described as minor concrete repair and is located at various locations throughout the City. The City is home to over 24,000 trees that are planted in parkways throughout the City; trees that have established root systems often causing sidewalks to lift and crack. The majority of repairs for this project will be removal and repair of sidewalk panels and drive approaches. All questions, interpretations, or clarifications, either administrative or technical, must be requested in writing and directed to the Contract Administrator for the RFP process, Cari Dillman, Community Services Manager. The City must receive written requests for clarification no later than Monday, December 9, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.. Such requests, if any, must be sent to the Contract Administrator by emailing cdillman@ci.claremont.ca.us. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the City in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish City with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: A or C8. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to self-perform 100% of the work.
