TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Work to be performed under this project includes: site preparation, including removal of loose, woody and deleterious material, removal of existing culvert & delivery of pipe, common and solid rock excavation (if necessary), temporary road diversion and traffic control, furnishing and installing fabric and bedding for the culvert, coordination with the Town and precast structure supplier to unload and install the delivered precast structures (including the culvert sections, headwalls, wingwalls, cutoff walls, and footings), furnishing, machine placement and compaction of riprap and stone fill, stone fill, filter base and other granular material, road subbase and base material, temporary stream diversion, guardrail and widening of road, and incidental items. Sealed BIDS shall be marked in the lower left hand corner: Bid Documents: Jones Brook Road Culvert Replacement Project, Moretown, Vermont. All bids must be accompanied by: a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, a completed Debarment and Non-Collusion Affidavit, and a signed Contractors Equal Employment Certification Form. LOCATION: The project is located along Jones Brook Road approximately 300 feet south of Herring Brook Road.
