Effingham County Wastewater Treatment Plant - Construction Question Submission Deadline December 9, 2024, 5:00pm, Question Response Deadline December 13, 2024, 2:00pm. Any questions that arise after the pre-proposal conference must be made in writing via online. Questions will be answered via online. ll proposals shall be accompanied by a BID BO ND in favor of the Effingham County Board of Commissioners in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the BID for the complete work. The BID BOND shall be forfeited to the Effingham County Board of Commissioners as liquidated damages if the BIDDER fail s to execute the CONTRACT and provide PERFORMANCE BOND and PAYMENT BOND within fourteen (14) calendar days after being issued a Notice of Award. A Notice to Proceed will be issued immediately after the receipt of the signed Contract and P&P Bonds, and the Contractor is required to execute the NTP and begin work within fourteen (14) calendar days after signature and issuance of the NTP by the County. Payment will be made on a monthly basis for work performed the previous month, less retainage. The County wil l retain 5% of the gross value of the completed work as indicated by the current estimate approved by the Engineer. The Completion Date for this Contract shall be within 730 from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Effingham County Reserves the Right to Reject Any/and All Bids and to Waive All Formalities.
