Site work for a water / sewer project in Loudon, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Loudon Utilities is requesting quotes for the rehabilitation of the Corinth Ground Storage Tank. This project involves interior and exterior coating systems, repairs, and installation of a mixer as outlined in the scope of work below and specifications in Exhibit 1. The successful contractor will be responsible for surface preparation, coating applications, necessary repairs, and installation of equipment per the provided specifications. 1. Surface Preparation Prior to Abrasive Blast Cleaning o Weld flux and spatter shall be removed by power tool cleaning. Sharp projections must be ground smooth, and all welds shall be ground to a smooth contour following NACE Standard SP0178, Designation D. 2. Surface Preparation o SSPC-SP10 Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning required, achieving an angular anchor profile of 1.5 mils as per ASTM D 4417, Method C or NACE RP0287. All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. o Primer must be applied within 6 hours of blasting to prevent flash rust. 3. Repair of Pits o Pits greater than 1/16" and less than half the thickness of the steel must be filled flush to the surrounding substrate with Tnemec Series 215 Surfacing Epoxy following the application of primer. 4. Coating Application o First Coat: Apply Tnemec Series 94-H2O Hydro-Zinc at 2.5 to 3.5 dry mils. Only Tnemec Thinners 41-2, 41-3, or 41-49 shall be used. o Stripe Coat: Apply Tnemec Series N140-1255 Pota-Pox Plus by brush or roller to weld seams, edges, corners, bolts, nuts, and other hard-to-reach areas. Only Tnemec Thinner 41-4 shall be used. o Second Coat: Apply Tnemec Series 21-WH16 "Off White" Epoxoline at 10.0 to 12.0 dry mils. Only Tnemec Thinner 41-88 shall be used. o Total Dry Film Thickness: A minimum of 12.5 mils is required. o For cold weather, Series 44-710 Urethane Accelerator may be added to Series 94-H2O. 5. Seams and Joints o All seams, rafters, and lap joints above the water level should be sealed with Sika-Flex 1 A after the finish coat is applied. The project must be completed within 6 months from the Notice to Proceed.
