he Village of New Glarus is soliciting bids for the New Glarus Police Department (313 2nd Street) roof replacement project. The current roof is a flat rubber roof that requires complete replacement due to its condition. The scope of this project includes tear off of the existing roofing material and installation of new roofing membrane and gutters on an approximately 4,700 sq. ft. flat roof. Detailed scope is included in the bid package. Only one contractor will be selected to do all of the work. Please review the information provided, and if interested in the work, submit a bid consistent with the specifications identified below. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Village of New Glarus, or by bid bond in the amount of 6 percent of the maximum bid as a guarantee for the amount specified in the bid. The certified check is returnable to the bidder immediately after the signing of the contract. Successful bidders shall furnish the owner with a performance bond equal to 100% of the contracted amount. A contractor will be recommended by the Village Public Works/Public Safety Committee and tentatively approved by the Village Board on January 14, 2025. The selected contractor will be notified on January 15, 2025. All bidders will be notified as to which contract the Village of New Glarus selects and will receive a summary of bids received.
