For the Staples High School Field House Flooring Replacement A bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the base bid cost is required, made payable to Westport Public Schools, and must accompany each proposal. Bids must be held firm for ninety (90) days beyond the bid opening date. The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond, a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate of Insurance with the Purchasing Agent within ten (10) days of notice of bid award. The Westport BOE reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, or to waive defects in same, or to accept any proposal, or part thereof, deemed to be in the best interest of the BOE for whatever reason. The Work generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following major elements: 1. Removal and offsite disposal of mercury flooring. 2. Provision and installation of new moisture barrier and fluid-applied athletic flooring with game line striping and logo. 3. Removal of existing vinyl wall base and replacement with new rubber wall base. 4. Removal and replacement of new recessed floor equipment including pole vault, long jump pits, and recessed volleyball sleeves. 5. Removal and replacement of existing electrical floor outlets, to include provision and installation of new outlet in new location. 6. Removal and replacement of transition strips and existing metal threshold saddle as shown on Drawings. 7. Offsite disposal of all removed materials.
