Site work for a civil project in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a 224-square-foot water / sewer project.
This project will include the replacement and rehabilitation of equipment within the existing Moore Estates Pump Station. Pumps, piping, valves, pump guiderails and other equipment within the wet well and valve chamber are corroded/nearing the end of its useful life and will be replaced as part of this project. This project will also include the replacement of three (3) buried valves showing signs of leaking during emergency bypassing, approximately 125 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch PVC gravity sanitary sewer, approximately 25 LF of 4-inch PVC service lateral, approximately 25 LF of 6-inch DIP force main and one (1) emergency generator as well as modifications to existing Pump Station Generator Building along with associated site work. The work shall be completed within 360 calendar days of the Contractor's receipt of written Notice to Proceed. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, minimum of $500.00 and not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Failure to provide the Business Registration Certificate prior to award of the contract will be cause for rejection of the bid as being nonresponsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Pursuant to P.L. 2010, c. 108, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 authorizes a bidder to request withdrawal of a public works bid due to a mistake on the part of the bidder within five days after the opening of the bids.
