The Village of Sheldon is accepting bids for the following road improvement projects in the spring of 2025 on Lacy Street and Main Street LACY STREET: Project includes pulverizing, fine-grading, and repairing approximately 400 feet between County Road VV and 7th Avenue. The new hot mix asphalt shall be applied at a 3-inch compressed thickness with a width of approximately 21 feet. Bids should include pulverizing old asphalt surface, replacement of two culverts, preparation of new surface including watering, rolling, and fine grading of roadway and shouldering with black dirt and grass seeding to restore residential lawns that meet new blacktop surface. The new asphalt surface shall meet specifications as listed above. MAIN STREET: Project includes pulverizing, leveling, fine-grading and repairing approximately 80 feet of Main Street in front of the community center. The new hot mix asphalt shall be applied at a 3-inch compressed thickness with a width of approximately 10 feet. Bids should include pulverizing old asphalt surface, leveling and preparation of new surface including watering, rolling, and fine grading of roadway. The new asphalt surface shall meet specifications as listed above. The Village of Sheldon reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or accept bids or portion of bids which best serve the interest of the Village of Sheldon. The completion date for these projects will be negotiated at the time of the contract award.
