Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.
o Clearing and grubbing o Procurement, transportation, and erection of a 16,800-sf metal building, including all doors, fixtures, and dock equipment o Design, permitting, and installation of proposed electrical services for power for the new building o Road grading and installation of gravel and concrete surfaces o Installation, inspection, and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures (completed in phases) o Earthwork (cut, backfill, compaction) o Installation of stormwater features (berms, channels, culverts, dry swale and extended detention pond) o Installation and stabilization of seed, mulch, and topsoil areas disturbed by construction o Removal of excess soil, stone, debris, fencing o Removal of temporary erosion and sediment control measures. GENERAL INFORMATION This document was developed to provide a uniform format for handling contract changes that affect Contract Price or Contract Times. Changes that have been initiated by a Construction Work Directive must be incorporated into a subsequent Change Order if they affect Price or Times. Changes that affect Contract Price or Contract Times should be promptly covered by a Change Order. The practice of accumulating Change Orders to reduce the administrative burden may lead to unnecessary disputes. If Milestones have been listed in the Agreement, any effect of a Change Order thereon should be addressed. For supplemental instructions and minor changes not involving a change in the Contract Price or Contract Times, a Field Order should be used. Any bid (including the Total Base Bid plus all Additive Bid Items) which exceeds five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) shall be accompanied by a Standard Bid Bond, Form RA-1d, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid (the "Bid Bond"). If the Contract and required bonds have not been executed by the accepted bidder within sixty (60) days after the date of the opening of the bids, then the Bid Bond or other bid security of any bidder will be returned upon a bidder's request, provided the bidder has not been notified of the acceptance of its bid prior to the date of such request.
