The proposed work consists of construction of two (2) multiple-completion groundwater monitoring wells and up to two (2) additional wells as described in Exhibit A. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the drilling, construction, and development of multiple-completion groundwater monitoring wells up to approximately 500-feet in depth, each with two (2) to three (3) depth-specific screened intervals, located in the City of Sonoma and unincorporated Sonoma County in the Sonoma Valley Subbasin. Work shall be completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. Full statement of specifications and scope of work is attached as Exhibit A. Completion of Work: Bids are required for the entire project as set forth in these specifications, and all work shall be completed within: o One hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the date designated on the Notice to Proceed. Calendar days shall include all days including weekends and holidays. Question Deadline 12/20/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Project-specific questions must be made in writing and sent to the Agency's Representative at info@sonomavalleygroundwater.org. Answers will be posted online by 5:00 p.m. on December 30th, 2024. Bonds: The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, and a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. Bid Security: Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price payable to the SONOMA VALLEY GROUNDWATER SUSTAINABILITY AGENCY. Bidders are hereby notified that in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 22300, securities may be substituted for any monies which the Agency may withhold pursuant to the terms of this Contract to ensure performance. Rejection of Bids: The Agency reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive immaterial irregularities in any bid. Any bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents may be rejected. The Agency reserves the right to make all awards in the best interest of the Agency. Contractor's License: Bidder must possess a current Class C-57 Well Drilling Contractor's license issued by the State of California, at the time the bid is submitted. Wage Rates: Bidders are hereby notified that the California Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the work. Copies of the current schedules for prevailing wages applicable to this project are on file in the Agency's office. It shall be mandatory for the Contractor and any subcontractor under it to pay not less than the said specified rates to laborers and workmen employed by them in the execution of the Contract.
