The City of Hamilton requires flushing and video inspection Services for the leachate collection system at the Upper Ottawa Landfill, West Hamilton Landfill, Rennie-Brampton Landfills and the Ancaster Landfill. The City also requires periodic cleaning of condensate traps and valve chambers connected to the landfill gas collection system at the Glanbrook Landfill. The Work under this Contract shall include, but not be limited to, the provision of all materials, labour, and equipment necessary for the high-pressure hydraulic cleaning and flushing of the leachate collection system including closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection and the high-pressure hydraulic cleaning, flushing and swabbing of the forcemains. Forcemain cleaning includes confined space entry, removal of flanges, piping, etc. to access the forcemains, and reinstatement of flanges, piping, etc. upon completion. Landfill leachate collection systems are not typical municipal sewer flushing projects and may be more difficult than a typical sewer flushing project.
