The City of Hamilton's Forestry and Horticulture Department is responsible for planting and maintaining 390 traffic islands throughout the City. To prepare for the planting season, approximately 8cm of aged manure loam is needed for around 4,000 square meters (m2) of planting bed area each year, which includes traffic islands, boulevard gardens, and parks. This is an as-and-when-required Contract, and therefore, the locations may vary from year to year. In spring, a list will be provided for the bulk of the Work, but locations may be added individually throughout the year as required. Through this Contract, the City is seeking qualified bids to carry out the Work as outlined.
