Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Magnetawan, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The scope of work includes mobilization and demobilization, environmental protection measures, and establishing access to the work area, including platforms, scaffolding, and temporary supports. Key activities include full demolition and disposal of the existing concrete deck, girders, abutments, wingwalls, and railings, followed by excavation, dewatering, and construction of new reinforced concrete abutments and wingwalls. The new structure will consist of micropiles, concrete abutments and wingwalls, NU girders, a new bridge deck with waterproofing and asphalt, and the installation of curbs, approach slabs, guiderails, and safety railings per OPSD standards. Roadway approaches on both sides will be reconstructed with proper grading, granular base, and asphalt paving. Work for this project shall be completed no later than December 15th , 2025. Work shall proceed continuously once started.
